PHYSIOTHERAPY BY VIDEO ON-LINE CONSULTATIONS
There are times when it’s tricky to get out and to an appointment. Travel, work, and care commitments can all be barriers to getting to see us in the practice.
Physio by Video means we can meet virtually instead, so you can gain access to our fantastic team of Physiotherapists in your home or at work!
During any Physiotherapy consultation, we first ask you lots of questions about your issue and use our ‘Physio-detective’ skills and knowledge to gain a good picture of what we think is wrong.
We treat with our brains first!!
By using video-link for the consultation we can also see you, assess your posture and ask you to perform certain movements and tests to gain more information. This helps us confirm our diagnosis and plan your treatment.
Our aim as Physiotherapists, whether online or in clinic, is always to help you help yourself and gain long-term improvements.
Over video we can impart key management advice, demonstrate effective self-treatment techniques, and teach you exercises that will help relieve discomfort, build strength or change movement patterns – whatever it is you need.
We will also send you your individual home exercise program via email using the brilliant Rehab my Patient software.
Follow up appointments work in the same way – it really is that simple.

Making the most of your Physio by Video Consultation
Use a laptop or tablet (with a working camera and microphone) rather than a phone so you can see us more clearly on the screen.
We will send you an appointment email which has a video link. Just click on this link a few minutes before your appointment time, to take you straight into our virtual consultation room. There’s nothing to download, just click and ‘allow audio and video’ when prompted. If you’re new to online meetings and would like to ‘check the tech,’ before your appointment time, we can help you with that, no problem.
Rest assured the link is secure, private and not recorded - We use a fabulous healthcare software system called Cliniko.
Please make sure you are appropriately dressed/ happy to undress as needed to allow us to see the area of your body in need (as you would in clinic). Think about where you will put your computer/tablet - Ideally have enough space so you can stand, and we can see all of you.
