aBBY BOWLER
Sports/Rehab Therapist | Sports Massage Therapist
Abigail Bowler graduated from St Mary’s University, Twickenham, in July 2026 with a BSc in Sports Rehabilitation and has gained experience in sports and clinical settings over the past 4 years.
Sports Rehabilitation is an exciting space to work in, as it brings together hands-on treatment of injuries with tailored and progressive exercise prescription programmes to work towards strength and longevity.
Abigail has worked in elite sports environments, including Premier Division Hockey and Great Britain Rugby Sevens, where attention to detail, injury management, and optimised recovery were key.
Abigail has also loved learning that these principles are not solely for a sporting population, but that hands-on treatment and appropriate exercise prescription work towards an improved quality of life for all.
Abigail has enjoyed working in a community-focused centre in Richmond, where she would receive GP referrals with a range of pathologies, including total knee replacements, osteoarthritis, sciatica and shoulder impingement. This centre reinforced Abigail’s values of the importance of community, holistic care, and always finding a way when it comes to building strength.
‘Ikigai’ is a Japanese principle which involves finding one’s purpose in life, and Abigail believes that if she can help people manage their pain and build resilient bodies for life, that’s real winning!
